Utility trailers around here haul mowers, lumber, and weekend loads. The tires take the abuse — and they often get ignored until one lets go on the highway.
Before you hook up
Inflate to the pressure on the tire or trailer placard (cold)
Stay within the tire and axle load ratings
Inspect for cracks, bulges, and weather checking
Carry a spare that actually fits and holds air
Age and storage
A trailer that sits still ages the rubber. If sidewalls are cracked or the tire is old, replace it even if the tread looks okay. We sell and service trailer tires — and utility trailers when you need one.
