Signs You Need an Alignment

Empty BendPak four-post lift and wheel alignment equipment in a Hazlehurst Tire Company service bay

Alignment sets the angles of your wheels so they track straight and wear evenly. When it’s off, you feel it in the steering — and you see it in the tread.

Common signs

  • Vehicle pulls left or right on a flat road

  • Steering wheel sits off-center when you’re going straight

  • Inside or outside edges of the tread wear faster

  • Steering feels loose, wander-y, or returns slowly after a turn

What we do

We measure on a real alignment system, show you what’s out, and set the angles to spec when the parts allow it. Worn tie rods, bushings, or ball joints have to be solid first — otherwise the alignment won’t hold.

New tires? Align while you’re here

If you’re putting on a new set, an alignment protects that investment. Crooked angles will eat new rubber just as fast as old.

Frequently asked questions

What are signs I need an alignment?
Common signs include the vehicle pulling left or right, a steering wheel that sits crooked on a straight road, and uneven tire wear on the inside or outside edge. Hazlehurst Tire Company in Hazlehurst, MS — call 601-894-3396.
Can bad tires feel like a bad alignment?
Yes. Low pressure, cupped tread, or a bad tire can mimic pull. We check pressures and tires first, then measure alignment when it makes sense.
After hitting a pothole, should I get an alignment?
If the wheel is crooked, the car pulls, or you feel a new vibration after a hard hit, yes — get it checked. Impacts can knock angles out quickly.

Steering feel off? Call or message us and we’ll check it on the alignment rack.
